Tea’s Me Café Opens New Location at IU Indianapolis Student Center

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Tea’s Me Café is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its new location at the IU Indianapolis Campus Center on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 9 AM EST. To mark this special occasion, the community is invited to join us for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by an opportunity to speak with owner Tamika Catchings, a 4x Olympic Gold Medalist, Hall of Famer, and founder of the Catch the Stars Foundation, about what this new location means for both Indianapolis and IU Indianapolis.

Tea’s Me Café continues its mission of providing a vibrant space for community engagement, exceptional service, and high-quality loose-leaf tea. The new location at IU Indianapolis will be a welcoming destination for students, faculty, staff, and local residents, offering a wide variety of healthy teas, great food, and a classy ambiance that guests have come to love from the brand.

“Our goal is to create a gathering space that not only serves the community with exceptional tea and food options but also fosters an environment where everyone can come together, connect, and be inspired,” said Tamika Catchings. “We are excited to bring Tea’s Me Café to the IU Indianapolis campus and look forward to partnering with student-run organizations to make this a dynamic space for students and the community alike.”

Lauren Julian, Director of Customer Experience with the IUI Auxiliary Service team, added: “I’m excited to announce my first project as a team member with the IUI Auxiliary Service team—bringing Tea’s Me to our Campus Center! It’s great to have a local, minority, women-owned cafe that will only enhance our IU Indianapolis community. This partnership will create a vibrant space for student groups to showcase their talents and for local artists to share their work. We hope to provide students with real-life experience running the cafe. I can’t wait to see how this space transforms and the positive impact it will have on campus. I’ve genuinely enjoyed collaborating with the team, and I’m so excited to see what’s to come.
